ABOUT THE WORK
The Angler Chaise Lounge is a culmination of misused materials and misapplied techniques. A tangled nest of 80/20 extruded aluminum channel with brass connectors cast from reclaimed foam provides the framework for a trampoline fabric platform suspended by powder-coated motorcycle clutch springs that sits beneath a milled acrylic reading lamp. The traditional chaise lounge is seen in a new light through its de-skilled composition and adaptive mis-use of the stock building materials.
